Just wanted to give you a heads up that it is January. If are wondering why I think you do not know that it is a January, see the pictures below. The holidays are over. Now I think that the holidays are a nice time, but they can not last forever. I think you would agree the holiday season seems to be starting in July. So by the time it gets to actually be over, most of us are ready to move on. Why am I writing you? I am so glad you asked. It is time to take the lights and decorations down. It is January 7th and you have no excuse but laziness. Also is it not quite rude that you are wasting so much energy? I mean really, aren't our bills high enough without you adding to the problem? You might be saying it is only the first week of the new year. Well I looked it up to see when people should take there Christmas/Hanukkah/ Kwanzaa decorations down. It said something about January 6th, but that comes from ancient custom. It is 2010, please get with the program. As MJ said to one of his musicians in This is It: I say this with love.

If the spirit of Christmas should last all year (shouldn't it?) then why can't the lights? Its not "our" electric bill, its theirs, and we're not struggling for electricity at the moment. (But if my power goes out in the summer and I can't run my A/C I'm going to their houses with wire cutters!)
I agree, you should be able to atleast leave your lights on while there is snow on the ground. People put lights out where i live for halloween and i've seen some 4th of july lights. Just because its january shouldn't mean you gotta turn your lights out. I still burn my christmas tree into febuary
perhaps they are celebrating the 24 days of Christmas and will take down the lights after it is done?

because we are catholic, we leave ours up until the last feast of the christmas season is over. The are down by the 12th/13th at the latest. Stop being a scrooge!! haha at least they don't leave them up year round.....
Seriously you're the one being rude. It's their property, they can do what ever the hell they want. Don't judge other people because you think you're so perfect.
