Rude News

I was going to write a bit about the Northwest Airlines pilots overshooting the Minneapolis airport by 150 miles and their claims that they were neither sleeping nor arguing (what were they doing?? Making out? Watching Dr. Zhivago? Quilting?), but until we understand fully what happened, I can't claim it as rude behavior. But I am pretty dang sure it is rude to forget to land: http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/10/26/airliner.flyby/

So I will just report the rudeness of the opera singer Gabriela Pochinki, as reported by Gothamist (via the New York Daily News and NY Post), who decided it was okay to put a business conversation on speakerphone at a NYC restaurant, and then proceed to yammer loudly and disregard several attempts by the management to quiet her down. Then Pochinki pushed the manager after the last attempt to silence her loud mouth. Police were called (yes!) and the stupid diva was arrested, and given a desk appearance ticket. According to the NY Post (and quoted in Gothamist) she apologized and said, "I'll never talk on a cellphone again in a restaurant." Right. http://gothamist.com/2009/10/25/opera_diva_blames_mj_for_disorderly.php

Any news of rudeness in your area? Let us hear about it....and pictures are always appreciated! Mail.heyrude@gmail.com.
